I started this blog for my daughters when they left home. I wanted to share a few easy, cheap and favourite recipes with them. Now ten years later, it's just where I put my favourite recipes.

Granny Pam's Nasi Goreng

Nasi Goreng (from about 1970!)

(feeds 5)

2 ½ cups basmati rice
350g lamb mince
250g onions
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp curry powder
75g butter
350 frozen mixed veg
2 eggs
2 tomatoes

Cook rice drain to dry
Slice onions and fry in butter.  Add mince - 20 mins
Add cooked veg, rest of butter, rice, salt, pepper, curry powder and soy sauce.

It is delicious eaten like this, however traditionally you can add the following:
Make omelette with eggs and cut into strips.
Serve Nasi Goreng with strips of omelette and tomato wedges
