I started this blog for my daughters when they left home. I wanted to share a few easy, cheap and favourite recipes with them. Now ten years later, it's just where I put my favourite recipes.

Honeycomb Ice Cream

Here's how to make the Honeycomb:
5 tablespns granulated sugar
2 tablespns golden syrup
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

Put syrup and sugar in a medium pan and stir over heat to dissolve sugar.  Then boil rapidly till it's a golden colour.  Add the bicarb (this is the fun bit as it all froths up).  Stir, and then pour onto a greased baking tray to cool.  Once cool break up into bits.

Now for the ice cream:
Whip 600ml whipping cream till floppy and then beat in 1 tin of condensed milk till stiff.
Fold in the honeycomb and freeze overnight.

Done!  Yum!
