I started this blog for my daughters when they left home. I wanted to share a few easy, cheap and favourite recipes with them. Now ten years later, it's just where I put my favourite recipes.

Turmeric Hummus

This was in last week's weekend paper, but I've halved the quantities as it makes quite a lot! Good flavour with these additional spices.

Ingredients
1 400g tin chickpeas
juice from 1 lemon
half teaspn paprika
half teaspn turmeric
1 teaspn ground cumin
half teaspn mild chilli powder
1 clove garlic, peeled
5 tablespn olive oil
2 tablespn water
2 tablespn tahini
pinch salt

Method
Rinse and drain the chickpeas.
Place all ingredients in food processor and blend until smooth and creamy.
